Christmas in September

I will be running 2 Christmas in September classes where we will be making a dozen handmade and stunning Christmas cards (more if you're speedy.) In trying to alleviate holiday stress and anxiety I will do the majority of the prep work so that you can easily and efficiently create your cards.

The first class is Friday September 7th at 7pm, and the second class is Monday September 17th at 7pm. Both classes are at my house in Ottawa - contact me if you'd like to come and for info on how to get to my house.

Class cost is $30 ($2.50/card). You can work at your own speed and can create more than 12 cards!! You can also purchase the featured stamp set for an additional $10 dollars. As a special bonus if you bring along a friend that hasn't stamped with me before, you will get to create a special bonus card as a thank you from me.

I will be posting photos shortly of the cards that we will be making - all of which will feature stunning designer series paper, embelishments and new 2012 Stampin' Up Christmas stamp sets.

So Many Swaps

I've signed up for, and participated in already, a ton of swaps. My most challenging one by far is the All Catalogue 2012 - 2013 Stampin' Up Swap. I'm almost done and here are a few of the cards I created for the swaps. Enjoy!

A swap card using the fabulous Serene Silhouettes stamp set, More Mustard cardstock and ink. Island Indigo ink as well as Fan Fair DSP, Argyle Embossing Folder and pearl accents.

An inside view of the cut-out.

Here is another swap card, this one featuring the new stamp set Papaya Collage and our newest blus colour - Midnight Muse, my absolutely favourite of the blues so far. It also features Comfort Cafe DSP as well as wording from the Elements of Style stamp set.

Another swap card I did using the En Francais stamp set, Island Indigo and again Comfort Cafe DSP.

I also embossed the framelit with the Square Lattice folder.

And my final finished swap card featuring Mixed Bunch stamp set and Comfort Cafe DSP (love that series of papers) Pool Party ink and cardstock and a pretty Subtles button. I also used the Adorning Accents dies to cut the bottom quarter off of the card.

Floral Framelits Cards

I have been having a lot of fun creating new and fun cards using the new Floral Framelits Dies. I've experimented using different designer series paper, stamping colour on colour cardstock, using different brads and different ways of shading/outlining the flower petals.

I hope that you like them.

Many, Many Thank Yous

When working on my swaps I signed up to use Delicate Doilies and discovered a design that I could use and duplicate (with different colours) to suit multiple cards with the same general design.

This is a photo of the card that I designed for the swap using coordinating ribbon and rhinestone jewels:

And these are photos of the cards that I duplicated using different coloured cardstock, inks and alternating between using pearls and jewel accents. Hope that you like them - I'm thinking of making loads more with different sayings and starting to sell them.

Birthday Card for a good Friend

Yesterday I created a card for my good friend, Elizabet's birthday. I used the new stamp set Daydreams Medallions and their coordinating Floral Framelits Dies. I hope that she likes it when I give it to her tomorrow!

This card was made using Soft Suede cardstock, Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze inks. I then outlined the flower petals in Soft Suede and used a Pink Pirouette brad to hold it together ontop of the Beau Chateau paper.

Welcome to my new Blog!

Hello. My name is Rachelle Arcaro and I am an independant Stampin' Up (SU) demonstrator living in Ottawa, Ontario in Canada. I called myself the Canadian Paper Princess because I love creating fun items with wonderful paper, specifically SU Designer Series Paper. This is my first attempt at blogging so I hope that I get better as the days go by. I will be posting a few of my latest paper creations for you to view and feel free to comment on.

Blessing.
Rachelle.

Mother's Day Class Projects

This is a Mother's Day card and matching Petite Purse that I created for a Mother's Day class. The Petite Purse is a new addition to Stampin' Up's line of Bigz Dies:

I used the now retired Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up, Basic Black and Crumb Cake cardstock and Basic Black and Crumb Cake ink. The Petite Purse features Rhinestone Jewels and held inside many Hershey Kisses chocolates!

This is the Mother's Day card and matching Petite Purse done in Whisper White:

This card also features the Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper, Whisper White and Crumb Cake cardstock as well as Basic Black and Crumb Cake ink. The Petite Purse features the now retired Rhinestone Brad as well as beautiful Pearl accents - all from Stampin' Up.

Both cards featured the Elements of Style and Messages for Mom (retired) stamp sets.

All Stampin' Up products and current stamp sets can be ordered through me. Feel free to contact me and I'll let you know how you too can start your paper creating fun!!
